Monsters Dressed As Men

Updated: Sep 26

you were so empty you opened your legs to monsters dressed as men

swallowed spoonfuls of salt they called sugar

questioned whether it was a mispronunciation?

love lost in translation?

“please be gentle" you whispered

/ right before he split you in two

you closed your eyes

trying to transfigure truth

girl, you weren’t that delirious

could see beneath disguise

prey and predator entwined

smile twisted into snarl,

boy who was really beast

licked his starving lips

and began to feast.
